As we approach the six month mark, I have to confess...I'm over it. I gave myself permission to take a mental break from ball as the summer season began, but made the mistake of never really getting back on board. I've been so disconnected from this summer team that "supporting" coach at games and at home has felt more like work than my calling.
Then the silver lining shows through and renews my spirit!
As I've been packing and preparing for our trip this week, I realize - I have baseball to thank for all of this. The suitcases full of swim suits and sand toys, the excitement and anticipation of Disney, the tickets to check another ballpark off our list. Coach never took a break from his commitment, and because of that, we have this.
California is my slump-buster, and I will come home the Coach's Wife I need to be.
How do you bust your slumps? Or keep them at bay all together? I'd love any ideas or advice for getting through the bad hops!
