Let me fill you in on all the excuses as to what has been keeping me busy and the blog on the back burner for the past oh, three months.
I started a new job in mid-July.
We found out we were pregnant with baby 2 that same month.
And wrapped our last football season for awhile in October.
So, where do I begin? I’ll start with one not even on the list - my New Year’s resolution.
No more excuses for letting this blog slip. As the hubs always says, (quoting the incredible story from Lone Survivor), “find an excuse to win.” Since the launch, Confessions has become one of my most prized passions, and I hope it’s becoming a refuge for fellow coaches’ wives as it continues to grow. Problem is, it can’t grow if you all can’t count on it.
So that is my commitment to you and myself, because this is is just as much (if not more so) for me as it is for other CWs:
Write religiously. Every week.
I’ve been working out an editorial calendar for the year with topics I know will come up for us this year, but what kinds of things do you want to talk about in 2016? Burning questions? Certain areas of challenge? Advice on this or that? Guest posts?
What ideas do you have that can contribute to the greater good…those stories that a newbie can stumble across in a Google search and find hope in this new life she’s taken on?
Comment here or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and let’s find an excuse to win in 2016 ladies!
Hold me to it: Watch for next week’s post on January 7. It’s going to be a good one, zealous venting, fervent emotions, I’ve even been known to toss in a curse word or two for flair. It’s raw honesty on a topic I’m extremely passionate about as a Coach’s Wife. And since I had to sit on the sidelines and let it go this past football season, I’ll use this my outlet. It’s my blog. I do what I want. Don’t miss it!
